WHAT IS AUTO PAINT CORRECTION?

The term "paint correction" refers to the removal of unsightly defects, age-related oxidation, and other effects of wear and exposure. Most of the work is done by one or more types of machine-powered paint polishers, combined with special compounds and polishes meant to remove surface scratches, acid rain etching, micro marring and oxidation.

This level of paint polishing goes far beyond what could be attained with some elbow grease. Our professional paint correction knowledge removes defects. The end result is much better by leaving the surface with a high gloss and optically clear surface.

If there are areas with significant oxidation, scratches or inconsistent clear coat texturing, wet/color sanding may be used to restore the clarity of the surface before compounding and polishing.  This is where the "correction" aspect is the most obvious. However, the proper polishing of the rest of the paint is also crucial to obtaining a perfect look.

Typically, paint correction is part of a larger detailing job. We then apply ceramic coatings or PPF to protect the near perfect surface, and keep it looking great for a long time to come.

It is important to obtain the services of an experienced detailer for paint correction projects. The strength of the equipment along with the compounds used, a novice can cause permanent paint swirls in a matter of moments. It is well worth the investment to ensure that your car's paint really turns out looking better, instead of taunting you with swirls and residual polish until the day you visit  a professional detailer.
